Turnera Diffusa

  • Has been used since ancient times throughout mexico, central & south america and the caribbean.

  • Small woody shrub with aromatic, yellow flowers

  • Flowers blossom in early to late summer and are followed by a fig like fruit

  • Damiana comes from the greek daman or damian meaning “to tame; subdue” and refers to Damiana as the wild one who tames

  • Can be brewed into an infusion, made into tincture, used in herbal smoking blend, powdered & encapsulated, infused into oil for topical use, or made into an herbal syrup

  • Damiana is often infused into alcohol for liqueurs or cordials

  • Tonic for kidneys, reproductive system & nervous system

  • Increases blood flow to the pelvis therefor can help with arousal, intimacy (with self or another), hormonal balance, emotional balance, etc

  • Is said to invigorate nerves & the brain to increase communication of messages throughout the body
