What does the sensation of nourishment feel like in your body?

What are the ways you nourish your physical body?

What are the ways you nourish subtle, energetic & emotional body?

What is your relationship to the foods you eat and listening to how your body responds to them?

Becoming aware of how and what we feed ourselves (on all levels) is a powerful act of self love. Especially as cyclical beings in this time of fast food, depleted soil, and disconnection from the earth and people that grow the foods we eat, when we choose to notice how certain foods make us feel, impact our cycles and pelvic bowl health in general, we are choosing to care for ourselves in a more gentle and loving way.

What we feed ourselves can either make us sick or heal us. On physical & subtle levels.

Often, more important than what we are actually eating is what we are thinking and feeling while we are eating it.

The Full Moon offering’s for this month are invitations to go deeper into how you care for your cyclical body, through creating rituals around food, becoming aware of how we feed ourselves, and supporting the microbiome.

AN INTERESTING NOTE ON CHOLESTEROL & FAT:

Many of us have been taught and conditioned to think of cholesterol and fat as bad, especially women & femmes! For menstruating people especially it is vitally important that we get enough fat & cholesterol. Fats are essential because they are foundational to efficient vitamin & mineral absorption, our brains are predominantly made of fat and fat builds cell membranes. Cholesterol is the building block of all of our hormones.

THE MOST IMPORTANT MACRO & MICRONUTRIENTS FOR PERIOD HEALTH ACCORDING TO LARA BRIDEN ND:

This comes from Lara Briden’s book, Period Repair Manual

MACRONUTRIENTS FOR PERIOD HEALTH: Protein, starch & fat

MICRONUTRIENTS FOR PERIOD HEALTH: Magnesium, Zinc, Vitamin D, Iodine

I highly recommend Period Repair Manual if you want to learn more about all of this, get info and guidance on testing for certain deficiencies and treating them holistically.
